Introduction

HTX Plans helps you discover and plan Houston experiences. You can browse the whole website without creating an account, because there are no accounts. The website currently supports event discovery, saved plans through My Weekend, email delivery of saved plans you request, and the HTX Plans Weekly newsletter.

Information we collect

HTX Plans collects only information you voluntarily provide:

• Your email address, only when you give it to us: subscribing to HTX Plans Weekly, or requesting a Send My Plan email.
• Your saved plans, which are the events you save to My Weekend.
• Simple taste signals, learned only from what you save: favorite categories, neighborhoods, and budget ranges. These help the site feel personal to you.

HTX Plans does not currently collect your name, home address, payment information, account profile, or location data, because those features do not exist on the site.

Saved plans and browser storage

Saved plans are currently stored locally in your browser or device so you can access your saved selections. HTX Plans does not currently store your saved plans on our servers or associate them with a user account. The one exception: when you ask us to email you a plan, that plan is sent to our email service so the email can be delivered. If account-based features are introduced in the future, this policy will be updated accordingly.

How information is used

Email addresses are used to:

• Deliver the saved-plan emails you request.
• Send HTX Plans Weekly to you, only if you choose to subscribe.
• Respond to messages you send us.

Your saved plans and taste signals stay in your browser and are used only to run the site's save and discovery features. HTX Plans does not sell your information, does not build advertising profiles from it, and does not send marketing you did not ask for.

Email communications

HTX Plans sends two different kinds of email, and they are kept separate:

• Transactional email. Send My Plan delivers the weekend plan you specifically requested. That is all it does.
• Newsletter email. HTX Plans Weekly sends weekly Houston recommendations, but only to people who explicitly subscribe.

Requesting a plan email never subscribes you to the newsletter. Newsletter consent is a separate, unchecked checkbox that stays unchecked unless you check it.

Third-party services

• Website hosting: Cloudflare Pages. Hosts and delivers the website, including performance and security infrastructure.
• Newsletter platform: Beehiiv. Manages the newsletter, subscribers, email delivery, and newsletter analytics.
• Email delivery service. Sends the saved-plan emails you request. It receives only the information needed to complete that delivery.
• Social platforms: Instagram/Meta. Used for content distribution and community interaction.

Cookies, analytics, and performance tools

HTX Plans uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how visitors use the website, improve user experience, monitor performance, and maintain website reliability. It is a privacy-first analytics tool: it does not use cookies and does not collect personal information about visitors.

Security

HTX Plans takes reasonable measures to protect your information, including secure hosting, access controls, and administrative protections for the systems that handle email. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Your choices

• Browse the whole site without ever giving us your email. Saving plans works fine without it.
• Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link at the bottom of any email.
• Remove saved plans from My Weekend at any time.
• Clear your browser's site data to remove everything stored locally, including saved plans and taste signals.

Children's privacy

HTX Plans is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that such information has been provided, we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

Policy updates

HTX Plans may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When changes occur, the Last Updated date above will be revised and the updated policy will be published here.
