Tom Cruise stars as oil tycoon Digger Rockwell in Alejandro G. Inarritu's satirical comedy-drama. Cruise's first rotten film in 9 years has become a genuine conversation piece: Warner Bros. is marketing it as 'decide for yourself.'

Why we picked it: One of the weekend's big conversation movies. Reviews are divided, so this is the see-it-and-decide pick.
